BP Massive Oil Spill Live Feed – Currently BP is still working close and hand-in-hand with the National Incident Commander under the Federal Government of the United States to finally complete the cleaning operations and test the current containment cap as well as the containment operations. The cleaning operations is still far from over but the financial price of the biggest disaster had put its toll on the sole company responsible to the unfortunate event, British Petroleum, as it tops 256 Million US Dollar in payment for all the resident affected by the spill. This cost is in top of the daily expense being incurred by the company day-by-day in its cleaning operations.

In other news, the success of the Oil Cap that is already in place in the gusher is still being debated and being reviewed if it could hold the immense pressure this oil is pushing worsen by the depth of this leak. With this cap already in place, BP suspended its containment operations as the test to the Cap is still being made.

Currently the result of the test is that the pressure of the gusher is pushing some 6,000 psi of pressure to the cap and still going up. All containment system are on standby if this Cap would go off.

Furthermore, an oil skimmer was signed up to help in the removal of oil slick that are now floating in the sea surface. The whale skimmer arrived to participate in the clean up operations that the BP initiated some 2 months ago. The oil removal is still far from over and BP is continuously flaming other parts of the sea floor to expedite the removal of oils spill.

The disaster that is now considered to be the worst in US history and could even be considered as the worst in the world is still far from over. The ongoing effort to stop this environmental disaster is still distant. But based on current estimation the oil containment already reached 435,600 barrels of oil and oil flaring already removed some 52.9 million cubic of this slick.

Currently, about hundreds of species of wild animals are at risk due to this incident and damage to the ecological system of the Gulf of Mexico is lasting. The fisheries which is the main source of income for most of the resident of Louisiana were gravely affected by this event.

The British Petroleum company is doing all its best with the help from the US government to contain the situation and start with the rehabilitation effort. The US government put the responsibility over BP for all the cost clean up and restoration.

This disaster could have been prevented only if all the measures were strictly observed.

The 97th Pro Tour of France or what we commonly know as Tour de France kick-starts at Rotterdam on July 3, 2010 with the yellow jersey captured immediately by Team Saxo Bank’s Fabian Cancellara in just 10’00′ flat in the prologue of the tour. Stage 1′s yellow jersey on the other hand was received by Alessandro Petacchi of Lampre-Farnese Vini in just 5 hours 09 minutes and 38 seconds.

Stage 2 is the tour from Brussels to Spa Belgium, this 201 KM race was won by Quick Step’s Sylvian Chavanel of France in just 4 Hours, 40 minutes and 48 seconds.

Stage 3 was won by Cervelo TestTeam’s Thor  Hushovd  of Norway. This race covered 213 km flat terrain from Wanze to Arenberg Porte du Hainanut.

Stage 4 was won by Alessandro Petacchi and finally Stage 5 and 6was won by a British racer Mark Cavendish of HTC Columbia. Stage 5 and 6 was a flat terrain from Epernay to Montargis and Montargis to Tournus, respectively.

Stage 7 of the race was won by Sylvain Chavanel of France and the race went from Tournus to Station des Rousses in a mountain terrain.

The Stage 8 of the race was won by Andy Schleck of Team Saxo Bank that went from Station des Rousses to Morzvine-Avoriaz.

Sandy Casar of France got the yellow jersey at Stage 9 where he showed his pure strength and determination to conquer the treacherous  Morzvine-Avoriaz to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne tour which covered 204.5 kms of mountainous terrain.

A heart stopping race from Chambery to Gap at stage 10 was won by Sergio Paulinho of Portugal.

The Stage 11 of the tour de france covered from Sisteron to Bourg-les-Valence which is a  flat run terrain of some 184.5 kms. The yellow jersey was nudged by Mark Cavendish making him the first racer this year to win three race in a row.

Stage 12 went well and covered a hilly terrain of some 210.5 kms that went from Sisteron to Bourg-les-Valence. This race was won by Joaquim Rodriguez of Spain (Team Katusha).

The Tour De France 2010 is getting even more exciting as the days gone by. We are now at Stage 13 of the race and it covered some 196 kms of flat terrain from Rodez to Revel. The yellow jersey was won by Alexander Vinokourov.

Stage 14 was a big race for the Caisse d’Epargne as they need big points to reach the top spot and they managed to win the yellow jersey as their very own Cristophe Riblon won the race from Revel to Ax 3 Domaines.

Stage 15 covered some 187.5 kms of mountainous terrain and the yellow jersey was won by Thomas Voeckler of Bbox Bouygues Telecom.

It was a treacherous race at Stage 17 as the racers traversed mountainous terrain once more but Andy Schleck of Saxo Bank arrived victorious and it seems that he didn’t have hard time. He is now sited at our 2nd overall rank next to Alberto Contador who is still have the yellow jersey.

Stage 18 was a story of pure domination as Mark Cavendish of Team HTC- Columbia has done it again, he won the race from Salies-de-Bearn to Bordeaux. He retains his standing at 3rd in points classification at 162.

Today we will once more witness the racers battle it all out in an individual time trial. The race will be the race to Paris France for Stage 20. The tour de France Championship (Champs-Elysees) was witnessed by all and the race went from Longjumeau to Paris France. Mark Cavendish of Team HTC- Columbia won again, however, the yellow jersey was still held by Alberto Contador.
