BP Oil Spill Live Feed Update: BP Static Kill Finally Sealed Leak No More Oil Spill 1

BP Massive Oil Spill Live Feed –BP confirmed early this morning that MC252 well is now sealed and no more oil leak was noted after it reached its static condition. The well was already pumped by heavy cement that immediately dried as part of the Static Kill Procedure. The gusher was now controlled by hydrostatic pressure of drilling mud into the well until it reaches the reservoir.

Static Kill is a procedure wherein a tube would be attached to the gusher and pressurized cement will be pumped into the tube that will push the oil towards the reservoir.

The Static Kill was a success but further drilling of additional relief well will still be initiated today to prevent pressure from building up on the newly sealed MC252 well. BP confirmed that they will be implementing further drilling today.

The cleaning operations is still far from over but the financial price of the biggest disaster had put its toll on the sole company responsible to the unfortunate event, British Petroleum, as it tops 256 Million US Dollar in payment for all the resident affected by the spill. This cost is in top of the daily expense being incurred by the company day-by-day in its cleaning operations.

Currently the result of the test is that the pressure of the gusher is pushing some 6,000 psi of pressure to the cap and already reducing. All containment system are on standby if this Cap would go off.

Furthermore, an oil skimmer was signed up to help in the removal of oil slick that are now floating in the sea surface. The whale skimmer arrived to participate in the clean up operations that the BP initiated some 2 months ago. The oil removal is still far from over and BP is continuously flaming other parts of the sea floor to expedite the removal of oils spill.

The disaster that is now considered to be the worst in US history and could even be considered as the worst in the world is still far from over. The ongoing effort to stop this environmental disaster is still distant. But based on current estimation the oil containment already reached 435,600 barrels of oil and oil flaring already removed some 52.9 million cubic of this slick.

Currently, about hundreds of species of wild animals are at risk due to this incident and damage to the ecological system of the Gulf of Mexico is lasting. The fisheries which is the main source of income for most of the resident of Louisiana were gravely affected by this event.

The British Petroleum company is doing all its best with the help from the US government to contain the situation and start with the rehabilitation effort. The US government put the responsibility over BP for all the cost clean up and restoration.

This disaster could have been prevented only if all the measures were strictly observed.

We will give you the latest update on this disaster as it happens.

BP Oil Spill Live Update: BP Static Kill, A Best Move to Lessen Oil Spill Leak 4

BP Oil Spill Live Feed Update: BP Urged to Delay Testing for Static Oil Spill Stop – According to the latest report and observation made by the government officials, the BP was forced to delay their series of test for static oil spill stop. Reports has confirmed that the  BP Oil spill is on the declining stage and British oil giant efforts to stop oil spilling from the ruptured pipeline are already gaining its desired effects.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that the Gulf of Mexico oil spill stop project is probably the most highly costs projects the BP ever had and the Gulf oil spill is considered as the worst oil spill the world history ever had.

On the other hand, a BP statement on Monday may have cited concern over debris found in the relief well, Reuters reports  “U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said in a memorandum that problems were identified “in recent weeks” with blowout preventers on BP Plc’s relief wells, which are seen as the only proven way to kill the Gulf of Mexico oil leak.”

According to the recent updates about BP Oil spill, BP encounters in mid-July a devastating pressure and high cost of cleaning project amounting to $21 Billion. And when the BP live feed update came online, the estimated spill was raise to 12, 000 up to 19,000 barrels a day.

And because of the oil spill leakage “static k ill” will not be worked until Tuesday, expect that the procedure of the well will be filled with mud.
