FIBA World Championship 2010: USA VS Croatia Live on ESPN – The FIBA World Championship 2010 officially opens the preliminary game of the tournament today together with the 24 nations who will battle on their respective groups.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s USA team will have starting five Chauncey Billups, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Lamar Odom. Derrick Rose replaced Rajon Rondo. Lamar Odom is expected to take the leadership for the team.

Team USA won the title in 2008 Beijing Olympics with players differ from the set on what will be on the floor tonight. And as what USA have tonight, expect the team to be compared to the squad of 2008 Olympics.

The much awaited basketball tournament officially opens the basketball court today with the 24 nations to battle for the 2010 title. The FIBA World Championship 2010 will tip-off today, August 28, 2010 hosted by Turkey. The basketball tournament will run from August 28 to September 12, 2010 for the championship match.

The basketball tournament will have 24 nations, the third time after 1986 and 2006 tournaments. Group battle will be held on their respective venues: Group A in Kayseri, Group B in Instanbul, Group C in Ankara and Group D in Izmir.

Group A consists of Argentina, Serbia, Australia, Germany, Angola and Jordan.
Group B: USA, Slovenia, Brazil, Croatia, Iran, Tunisia,
Group C: Greece, Turkey, Puerto Rico, RUssia, China and Côte d’Ivoire.
Group D: Spain, France, Canada, Lithuania, New Zealand and Lebanon.
