Philadelphia loss 2-1 at Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday. The Sabres defeated the New Jersey Devils last Saturday at the Prudential Center. Left winger Thomas Vanek scored twice and goalie Ryan Miller had 26 saves to help the Sabres in a 6-1 victory over the Devils. Sabres ranked fourth in the Northeast Division.

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette was disappointed by the performance of his team on Monday’s loss against the Blue Jackets. The Flyers face the Sabres after they lost for the fifth time in five matches. Center Derek Roy made 5 goals and 4 assists. Ryan Miller averaged .920 save percentage and 2.27 goals-against.

Buffalo defenseman Craig Rivet has a shoulder injury. Right winger Jason Pominville hopes to return this week. Defenseman Shaone Morrisonn is out this Tuesday with groin injury. Philadelphia goalie Michael Leighton undergoes back surgery and hopes to resume skating next month.
