On the 11th week of the NCAA College Football, the no.13 Iowa Hawkeyes will face the Northwestern Wildcats this November 13, 2010. This game is going to be held at the Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois and it will start at 12:00 PM ET. Despite the fact the Northwestern won at Iowa in the previous season, the BCS committee went ahead to invite the Hawkeyes to the Orange Bowl.

In case they loose to the Wildcats once again, the implications could be even worse.

The Hawkeyes who are currently 13th are one of the four teams in the Big Ten that have lost one game. They hope to keep their conference title chase on track as they play away at Northwestern this Saturday.

When Iowa played at home against Northwestern on the 7th of November in 2009, it was at 9-0 and forth in the BCS rankings. They however suffered a 17-10 loss after four turnovers, an ankle injury that ended Ricky Stanzi’s, quarterback’s, season and generally spoilt their clean record.

In the week that followed, Iowa lost 27-24 at overtime at the hands of Ohio State which was 10th at the time. They however maintained their BCS bid and beat Georgia Tech at Miami by 24-14.
