Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Split Up-Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were divorced on Monday after being married for six years.
Elin Nordegren claimed that she went through hell after she found out the love affair of her husband with another woman. But she never suspected Woods of cheating on her.
The said affair just came out after Tiger Woods crashed his car in November 2009.
There were speculations that Nordegren hit the golfer after she discovered his illicit affair.
She said: “There was never any violence inside or outside our home. The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.”
At the time of the accident, Tiger Woods told reporters that his wife had used a golf club to smash one of the car windows to get him out of the car.
Nordegren asserted: “I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car. To think anything else is absolutely wrong.”
Tiger Woods admitted on a news conference on Wednesday that it was the distressing time in their lives and his mistakes had ended their marriage as well as ruined their family.
He said, “My actions certainly led us to this decision. I’ve certainly made a lot of errors in my life and that’s something I’m going to have to live with,” he told journalists in a pre-tournament briefing. You don’t ever go into a marriage looking to get divorced. That’s the thing – that’s why it is sad. I wish her the best in everything.”
The two have a three-year-old daughter, Sam, and a 19-month-old son, Charlie.
